Importantly, solving a real problem is where I began;

My vision; Blend Nurture & Nature with Purpose & Poignancy. As their mentor in a new light, & Mumma Bear - first & foremost, I lead with Aroha {Love} & Intention. As a mentor, I prefer to facilitate & guide - for that holds a certain power between.

Speaking from my professional prowess in B2C + B2B, for Hospitality, Events, Sales & Promotions, Travel & Training - from the onset, importantly Learn While Living would be backed by a wealth of experience, know-how, and old school tact. Becoming a space that meets up with our modern world demands, & shaped by deep rooted values and respectful principles. Whilst sharing is caring, values are the heartbeat, why, what, how - underpin, & philosophy - life source.

For greater scope, we develop a bespoke space from the markings that signify our signature style, written rhythm and philosophy in action - collectively to deliver a simply effective and rewarding platform for others' to ensue.

Like air that we breath, the ideas, offerings & trade secrets within Learn While Living Platform, were shaped and developed to be shared. Such, speak from a grounded grass roots journey spanning 60+ Years - paying close attention to special needs, & fostering a love to learn while living.

The overall process was not by chance - but with aroha, a wealth of experience, research and focus.

We trust Villagers will relish in the Platform -so much so, the power of Learn While Living will truly inspire more journeys.

Introducing: Founding Family

It was / is how we do it. "The Way" we say - "Learn While Living, loving the journey..."

Our natural home is Aotearoa, New Zealand. Adrienne, better known as Addy Marie McVay has lived in Australia for many years, and her son's Keigh & Jessy for most of their lives. We're based in Aussie, and often return home. Experiencing multiple Alternative learning approaches & methods, Mainstream, Roadschool & Worldschool -the platform derived from lived experience spanning decades.

Back story; Keigh & Jessy began homeschooling at ages eight & nine because of soul crushing bullying, & red tape. We began with "school at home" then Deschooling & embraced Eclectic. As time went on, we dabbled in most styles, but there were a handful that married best.

During childhood, they loved all things fun & eventful. But when the 1st real question was asked, "what do you want to learn about?" fell in their presence, I noticed a world of opportunity blossomed and their spark ignited.

Together Worldschooling, while blending different approaches, our ventures took us across Australia, Aotearoa, New Zealand, South Pacific Islands, South East Asia, London, Germany, through Switzerland to Rome, Venice, Austria, Bavaria, France, Fiji, America Samoa & Hawaii. Over Addy's lifetime she's experienced more of the world.

To experience diverse cultures & learn about our own -what I see, is that many cultures have similarities, & at the core, more often than not desire lifestyle approaches to enrich, embody & pass down.

With Māori, British & Australian ancestry {left} Keigh,{centre} Jessy & {right} Adrienne Marie McVay {Addy}, undertook an expansive collaborative effort, which has been injected into Learn While Living Platform. At its core, Learn While Living is a space to invite fun times, memorable moments & delights, while respecting our incredible planet, vibrant cultures & the passing of lived lessons.

What's been incredibly important in this process, was to design, create & produce, {bottling the brillance then bringing that to life} something that spoke authentically - from both ventures.

A character type passed down in me- Trailblazer, seeks to bring to life, nuanced, inspired & new. Not to challenge the status quo, but to innovate, shift with the times and forge a future that speaks from wisdom.

Embarking on my first journey in the 80's - decades ago now, today I'd be considered an OG Worldschooler. The Worldschool mindset began during that journey to Indonesia - not that I knew it then. Just a teenager at that time - even then, I began to notice the subtle differences between pedagody, more natural processes & to learn & live.

Perhaps growing up in a country different from my own, without my whanau {family} tribe - steered by our cultural values, ethics and traditions- instead racism, constant judgement & only force-fed education due to parents so busy to make ends meet, "I engage with new settings, places, faces, experiences, FUN & Games as a learning while living process. Everyday in fact, with a more watchful eye, whole sense approach and wonder."

"Such" continued in my young adult era, & over the past umpteen years with 2 kids-in-tow and a Trainer hat on has taught me a thing or two. The invaluable reason to call home about -are on the inside.

Labels and Branding differences aside, To embark with my moko's - just the 3 of us, on a Learn While Living venture, carries the greatest gifts and treasures to hold onto.

May one we share resonate, dear reader & kick-off another profound journey.
